University of Cincinnati Tangeman Center Restaurant Criteria Engineering

With the goal of refreshing the fast food options available to UC students at the Tangeman Student Center, Motz Engineering was hired to complete the MEP Engineering for the renovation that kicked off in Summer 2020.

With the consolidation of four food brands down to three, the kitchen and space reconfiguring required diligent planning and design work.

Motz Engineering first evaluated the existing MEP and HVAC infrastructure and utilities to provide bridging documents and drawings for UC to solicit proposals from Design/Build contractors.

The Motz mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers then worked with UC, the architects and representatives of each new food brand in order to meet all requirements and adhere to brand standards and codes.
